The Department has 18 interior firefighters with many exterior firefighters.  Firefighters complete their Basic Exterior Firefighting Operations course which provides 79 hours of training on basic fireground skills.  From here, members can expand their training in many areas including pump operators, interior firefighters and auto extrication technicians.

The department also has many members active in the County Emergency Response Teams rope rescue, ice/water rescue and hazardous materials teams.  The department carries a large arrangement of ice/water rescue equipment including three mustang ice suits, rescue sled, and numerous rope bags.  In addition, the department also carries rope rescue harnesses and rope bags on Rescue 7. 

Other specialized equipment within the department includes positive pressure ventilation fans, intrinsically-safe ventilation fans, four gas, carbon monoxide and gas meters, air bags and mobile cascade system.
